Bettina Weiss MANCEF Contributions Ms. Weiss has been a a long-time sponsor and exhibitor of the COMS conference series. Bettina, through SEMI, has been a financial contributor to the 1st and 2nd Edition MANCEF International Micro Nano Roadmap. SEMI continues to support MANCEF as a Charter Member organization. Education She holds a B.A. degree in English from the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich and is a certified translator (English) for Anglo-American Law and Economics. Career Ms. Weiss has been working in the semiconductor industry for over 15 years. She joined the SEMI organization in January 1996 in the SEMI Europe office in Brussels, Belgium as Standards Coordinator. In spring of 1997, she transferred to SEMI Global Headquarters in San Jose, California as Standards Development Specialist and, in 2000, became Manager, Program Development where she was responsible for the expansion of the SEMI International Standards Program into new technologies and new regions. In November 2003, she accepted the position of Director, International Standards as chief staff of the SEMI International Standards Program. In this capacity, she has been responsible for strategic planning, execution of SEMI Board of Director directives, policy and advocacy issues for Standards, regional support of implementation and activity growth and other areas. Prior to joining SEMI, Bettina worked in marketing and sales positions at Metron Technology and Varian Semiconductors in Munich, Germany. She lives with her husband Don in San Jose, CA.

Ms.
Weiss currently serves as Director, International Standards & MEMS,
as head of the SEMI International Standards Program. In addition, she
has global responsibility for the SEMI MEMS Initiative and coordinates
activities in MEMS and nanotechnology under the global SEMI umbrella in
all SEMI core areas.
