Professor Jugdutt (Jack) Singh

Professor Jugdutt (Jack) SinghProfessor Jugdutt (Jack) Singh has been involved in education and research programs in micro-technology and nano-electronic area for number of years. Jack is an active researcher and is a Chief Investigator/partner in number of projects of national and international importance, including, National Networked TeleTest Facility for Integrated System, Australia/Taiwan Strategic Alliance Smart Sensor Project, Victorian Government's Chipskills Microelectronics Education Program, Australian Telecommunications Cooperative Research Centre, Australian Microelectronic Product Realisation Centre and Australian System-on-Chip. He has also partnered and commissioned number of innovation and capability mapping projects in micro and nano sectors for the government.

Recently, Jack has taken up appointment as Research Professor, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia, where he in heading Technology Infusion at the University's R&D Park. The overall objective of the Centre for Technology Infusion is to engage in research, product development & commercialization; and industry engagement & development. The Centre will provide technology innovation, development and infusion environment targeted towards high impact and strategic growth areas.

Jack has more than 150 publications as book chapters, journal articles and peer reviewed conference papers. He is a board/committee member on number professional organisations and has established research and education collaboration/alliance with number of universities, research organisations and companies involved in micro-technologies in Europe, USA, Asia and Australia. Currently, seven research students are completing their PhD degree in wireless oriented micro-technology, nano-electronic area under his guidance.
