Patric Salomon
MANCEF Contributions He is currently an Advisory Board member, a member of the MANCEF Marketing Committee, and has participated actively in all COMS Conferences since 1996. Patric has been a Co-chair of the COMS Marketing Committees in 2003 and 2004. Patric also contributed to the 1st and 2nd editions of the MANCEF International Micro Nano Roadmap. As publisher of enablingMNT Industry Reviews he participates as a MANCEF publications partner providing members with industry reports. Career Before starting his own business in July 2002, Patric Salomon launched German operations for French microsystems supplier MEMSCAP in January 2000, where his main responsibilities were in strategic marketing and European marketing communications. During his 10 years as a project manager for microsystems consultancy and funding programs at VDI/VDE-IT in Germany (from 1990–1999), he gave more than 100 presentations at conferences and seminars and published more than 30 papers. He was the managing editor of mstnews, the major European microsystems journal. Before joining VDI/VDE-IT, Patric worked as a project manager with an electronics company Systec, gaining 2.5 years of experience in ASIC design and project management after he had obtained his university degree in Electrical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) at Berlin University in 1987. Patric is involved in a number of international microsystems networks and alliances, including Nexus (member of the steering committee), MEMS Industry Group, SEMI, Europractice, NoE Patent-DfMM, etc.
