Andy McQuarrie BSc
MANCEF Contributions Mr. McQuarrie is currently a General Board (Europe) member, a member of the MANCEF Marketing and the Conference and Workshops Committees. While an executive of STS, he was also a Chapter Leader for the 1st edition MANCEF International Micro Nano Roadmap. STS continues to support MANCEF as a Charter Member organization. Education After graduating from the University of Swansea in 1984 with an Honours Degree in Materials Science, he joined Electrotech and soon after SRS, as a Process Engineer. Career In 1986, he relocated to California in a field process engineering role of Electrotech and SRS equipment. In 1988 he joined Applied Materials Inc. in technical marketing and subsequently joined Applied Komatsu Technology Inc as Sales and Marketing Manager. Mr. McQuarrie joined Surface Technology Systems (STS) plc in 1995 and worked with them for almost 10 years. He is now President of Translucent, Inc., a start-up company specializing in advanced materials for electronics and photonics.
