Jill Hruby, PhD Jill Hruby is currently the director of the Materials and Engineering Sciences Center at Sandia National Laboratories. In that position, Jill oversees approximately 160 researchers engaged in modeling and experiments on materials development and performance, microsystem fabrication and performance, and large-scale calculations of structural and dynamic response. MANCEF Contributions Dr. Hruby is currently a member of the MANCEF Advisory Board, and a long-time sponsor and exhibitor of the COMS conference series through Sandia National Labs. Jill was also a Chapter Leader for Non-IC Compatible Manufacturing of the 1st Edition MANCEF International Micro Nano Roadmap. Sandia National Labs continues to support MANCEF as a Charter Member organization. Career Jill has been actively engaged in the research, development, and management of LIGA-based microsystems over the past ten years. Prior to the emphasis on LIGA, Jill was involved in solar energy research, mechanical component design, hydrogen storage, thermal analysis, microfluidics, and more. She has over 55 reviewed publications and presentations, two issued patents, and an R&D100 Award. Jill currently serves as Associate Editor of the Journal for Microlithography, Microfabrication, and Microsystems; a member of the Scientific Advisory Panel for Center for MicroDevcices at Louisiana State University; and as an Executive Board Member for the Livermore Chamber of Commerce. © MANCEF - Micro And Nanotechnology Commercialization
