Steven Dwyer

Mr. Steven DwyerSteven Dwyer serves as Vice President and General Manager North America of EV Group, a manufacturer of wafer processing equipment for the MEMS and Semiconductor industries. In this position, Mr. Dwyer is responsible for the entire North American operations of EV Group and has responsibility for employees in 10 states and 2 major locations.

MANCEF Contributions

During the last 3 years, Mr. Dwyer has been strongly involved in MANCEF and its programs. As a major industrial sponsor and participant at a number of COMS conferences, EVG has shown commitment to the MEMS and Nano Industry. Steven has been instrumental on collaborations with MANCEF on very successful workshops in New Mexico and Taiwan, both held to promote MEMS and opportunities for the Equipment Industry to assist in the commercialization of the technology. EV Group continues to support MANCEF as a Charter Member organization.

Education

Mr. Steven Dwyer was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and graduated from the University of New England in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business (Marketing & Management) degree.

Career

Mr. Dwyer started his professional career with BHP Refractories as a project manager and site coordinator and was involved in furnace rebuilds across Australia and the Pacific Rim for 2 years.

Mr. Dwyer then accepted a position as Refractory Division Manager with Halley and Mellows, a distributor for Harbison Walker Refractories in Australia and New Zealand. In this position he was responsible for the sale and support of customers across a wide range of industries including Steel, Cement and Glass manufactures.

After a successful 3 years Mr. Dwyer was relocated to Singapore as a direct employee of Harbison Walker Refractories as the Asia Pacific Sales Manager and was responsible for the sales and management for the Asia Pacific Region with employees in a variety of countries across the region.

3 years later, after a merger with RHI Refractories, an Austrian organization, Mr. Dwyer relocated back to Australia to take over responsibility of the entire Australian organization as its General Manager.

Mr. Dwyer and EV Group have also been very active in the educational and research areas of MEMS and Nano Technology. Through a formalized University Program EVG has enabled many research organizations to start and continue MEMS and Nano programs that will help bring future technology into today's reach.

Mr. Dwyer and EVG are committed to the MEMS and Nano Industries and the commercialization of both. As a 25-year-old company that has grown with MEMS industry we look forward to the continued success of the industry and MANCEF as a supporter of the same.
