The opening plenary session will feature Hiroshi Yokoyama of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology discussing "Nanotechnology-driven Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing"
The Bio and Life Sciences stream looks at "Breadth and scope of Nano Biotechnology sector; featuring Holger Becker from Microfluidic ChipShop GmbH - presenting "From Chips to Systems - Growing with the Customer"
John Raff of Starpharma will give his insights on "Pioneering Biological Nanotechnology Issues in Being the First"

Travel to Melbourne CBD from the airport
Melbourne Airport is approximately 22 kilometers from the city -- about a 30-minute drive, depending on traffic.
Getting there by taxi
Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne Airport, outside both the International and Domestic Terminals. Expect to pay around A$35 to A$40 for the 25-minute trip into the center of Melbourne.
Visa Information

Public Transport Melbourne has always been a well planned city with a well integrated and efficient public transport system that includes the famous Melbourne tram network, trains and buses.
Trams are the main form of transport throughout the central business district and run up and down most main streets. The City Circle route is free of charge and the burgundy colored trams cover the inner city grid, taking you to all the city's major attractions.
Trains are the main mode of transport throughout the greater Melbourne area.
Weather
Melbourne enjoys a temperate climate with warm-hot summers, a mild spring and autumn and cool winters. As a guide, day time temperatures in September (early Spring) range between an average max of 20°C (60°F) and a minimum of 10°C (50°F).
