| Michelle Bourke COMS in Edmonton Canada was my first introduction
to the MANCEF community and I have to say that as a group I had not met
so many enthusiastic/ knowledgeable people who make you feel welcome. My
initial taking part within MANCEF was to chair a session on Nanolithography,
one I thoroughly enjoyed. Who would have thought that a cosmetic company
holds the largest number of nano patents! More recently I served on the
Marketing Committee of MANCEF.
As the World continues to evolve and technologies merge, the World of MEMS and Nanotechnology become words that are recognised in every day society. I personally get very excited about the devices that people are developing and how they will and are affecting our lives. Communicating this to people within the industry and outside excites me and I feel that MANCEF is critical in this role. Today I have been promoted to be the Business Development Manager within STS. In this role I work with both existing and new customers to understand their long term technology requirements. I feel that this role and that of the MANCEF General Advisory Council are complimentary as they look to how the industry is evolving and ensures that we both meet our customer’s needs. STS continue to support the World of Micro and Nanotechnologies. This year sees STS sponsoring a chair position at the London Centre of Nanotechnology, a clear indication of our commitment to the evolving World of Micro and Nano technology. © MANCEF - Micro And Nanotechnology
