Raffaella Borzi, PhD

Dr. Raffaella BorziDr. Raffaella Borzi is the North America representative of IMEC, an interdisciplinary research institute, for the next generation of IC process technologies and nano technologies. IMEC is based in Belgium, and currently employs more than 1300 people and has an annual budget of 145 Meuro. She is responsible for interaction with external organizations such as consortia, institutes, universities and companies for the Silicon Process Technology and Microsystems Component and Packaging Groups.

MANCEF Contributions

Ms. Borzi has been a participant and supporter of the COMS conference series numerous times over the past five years.

Education

She received her Master and PhD in Solid State Physics from Washington University, St Louis, MO. Her work-studies related to Hydrogen and Deuterium Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) .She worked as a Post doctorate fellow at the Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, where her research was focused in Biophysical NMR.

Personal

Raffaella is fluent in Italian, speaks French and understands Spanish. In her spare time she enjoys Yoga, outdoor sports and her family.
