As someone who has spent over 15 years in Commercialising Technology and specifically Nanotechnology, I am pleased to confirm that the COMS events are the most interesting and useful conferences I’ve come across for anyone who is either looking to commercialise their technology/micro/nano business idea and for industrialists who are seeking an update on leading edge technologies in their sector or who are simply looking for business opportunities. The focus is very much on the “punchy commercialisation” of micro/nano technologies without some of the more esoteric academic talks, that although important, are not always of immediate interest to industrial end users.

The conference remains an excellent venue to meet organisations with microsystems capability who are serious about business.

A great conference and looking forward to more. I found the interaction with those in other disciplines and the cross fertilisation of ideas very useful.

COMS is a great place to meet individuals from countries where technologies are developing. 2007 saw STS increase business in Australia following the COMS event and in 2008 we gained exposure to organisations in Mexico.

"The active participation in COMS and MANCEF helped me tremendously to understand the market opportunity for the MEMS technology and to develop contacts within the MST industry worldwide!" Thanks MANCEF

At COMS I was able to meet with a wide range of people from around the globe all concerned with bringing benefit to future generations through the application of new and emerging micro technologies. In particular I was pleased to hold discussions with representatives from Canada, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands on the deployment of IXC Intermediaries into these countries and I expect that within the next twelve months we will see Australia's unique InnovationXchange model adopted in several of these markets.”

CEO, InnovationXchange (IXC), Australia
“Suframa has benefited in numerous ways through its association with
MANCEF and the particularly the COMS series of conferences. We started
our relationship with MANCEF at the 2002 Hanover Messe and cemented it
at COMS 2003 in Amsterdam, NL. The network of contacts developed has
assisted us in both our strategic direction and project development goals.
The COMS conferences have given us the best environment to develop the
science and technology relating to Micro and Nanotechnology.”

"Over the years COMS has developed into the world's leading conference on microsystems commercialization. The attendance, the meetings, and the off-agenda discussions are all vital to anyone interested in the business of microsystems."
